The Information for Speakers page provides essential guidelines and resources for those presenting at the Waterborne Symposium. Speakers receive instructions for preparing technical presentations, posters, or papers related to coatings, polymers, inks, and adhesives. This page ensures presenters are well-prepared to share their research, innovations, and insights with industry professionals, students, and fellow researchers. By following these guidelines, speakers can maximize the impact of their presentation while contributing to the symposium’s mission of advancing coatings science and technology.

Speaker’s Format
Speakers will present on February 11 - 13, 2026. The Waterborne Symposium Technical Committee will coordinate all speakers and the agenda. The technical committee will send abstract acceptance letters by November 1, 2025. Through these speaker platforms, we aim to further the advancement of coatings technology.
The criteria for the presentations are listed below:
Required Materials
Each speaker is required to submit a written paper, a presentation, a speaker biography, and a picture.

Written papers are due by December 1, 2025.
Presentations
Please email (or use a file sharing service) presentations for accepted abstracts to melanie.heusser@usm.edu on or before February 1, 2026. The Symposium Committee reviews all submissions for technical merit and educational value. Presentations must be:
· Original (first-time presented) and non-commercial
· Focused on scientific or technical advancements in coatings or related disciplines
