Scott Van Remortel

Mr. Scott Van Remortel is a Technical Sales Manager at Unimin Specialty Minerals.  He received a B.S. degree in Polymers and Coatings Technology from Eastern Michigan University in 1992.   Scott has over 20 years of experience with mineral fillers and applications development and holds several patents for engineered functional fillers.

Scott is presently the technical committee chair for the Piedmont Society for Coatings Technology in North Carolina and is a Past President  and Society Representative.   In addition, he is also an active member of the Industrial Advisory Council for the Polymer and Coatings Program at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo.  Scott makes his home in Bakersville, NC, which is near Roan Mountain with his wife and two children.
