Bio

Dr. Mouhcine Kanouni is currently Global Technical Marketing Manager for Coatings within Clariant Polymer Additives BU. He joined Clariant in 2013 from Cytec/Allnex where he hold the position of Technical Service & Development manager for the Americas in the Radcure BU followed by global marketing manager for consumer electronics application. Previously and for over 12 years, he occupied several positions at Ciba Specialty Chemicals with main focus and light and heat stability of coatings/polymers.

Abstract

Improving the weathering, scratch resistance and touch feel of wood coating

As demand for improved outdoor durability of waterbased wood coatings increases as well as enhance surface effects, Clariant has developed novel additives to meet those features.
Indeed, Clariant latest renewable-based additives are combining demand for more natural, sustainable products with state-of-the-art performance.
The novel additives will enables coating formulators to offer smooth surfaces with the pleasant feel of untreated wood, outstanding scratch resistance, high matting efficiency and improved weathering.
